Eufy Robovac G30 Edge review
I am a fan of the vacuum robots from Eufy. Simple, simple and they do what they should. Let’s see if the RoboVac G30 Edge also belongs to the group. In the following there is a detailed test report for the device
Not suitable for...
Design, equipment and scope of delivery
The design and the processing of the device is very well done. It looks high quality and looks elegant. It is striking that only a side brush is installed. Unusual with the vacuum robots from Eufy. The following is included in the scope of delivery.
Operation and volume of the RoboVac G30 Edge
The RoboVac G30 Edge comes without an additional remote control. To get the full range of functions, the installation of the mobile phone app is necessary. Cleaning can also be started directly on the device. The volume varies depending on the fashion. In normal fashion, you can watch normal TV on the side. If the suction power is set to Max, it is annoying but not nearly as loud as a conventional vacuum cleaner.
Navigation and suction power of the vacuum robot
The suction power is advertised by Eufy with 2000 PA. However, many cannot do anything with the value. In a nutshell .. the performance is perfectly sufficient for all types of flooring. The RoboVac G30 Edge has no problem even with larger crumbs and hair. The vacuum robot is equipped with SMART DYNAMIC NAVIGATION 2.0. Doesn’t mean he drives through the apartment by accident but systematically. A card is generated on the cell phone. It is pretty efficient at that. It only took 24 minutes for my 17m2 test room. He always found his way back to the charging station. The RoboVac G30 Edge also recognizes magnetic tapes. This makes it possible to shut off certain areas that should not be cleaned.
Handy app, Alexa and setup
The setup of the RoboVac G30 Edge is self-explanatory. The app guides you very well. Caution !! Like every vacuum robot, it cannot be connected to a 5G network.
The mobile app looks good and runs very stable. I tested the Android version. Countless settings can be made via the app. For example, a cleaning schedule can be created. Or you can see the last cleanings with a card. In the following photos I have shown the app and its settings. The robot can also speak in German.
Difference between RoboVac G30 and RoboVac G30 Edge
Basically, the two models are the same. There are actually only two differences that I noticed. First, the color and second, probably the most important. The RoboVac G30 Edge recognizes the magnetic tape so that areas can be blocked off. So if I have to close off areas buy the Edge otherwise it will also do the normal variant
Summary of the Eufy RoboVac G30 Edge
The price-performance ratio of the vacuum robot is very good. For about 300 euros you can get a robot vacuum with very good suction power that is smart, easy to use and also has a systematic cleaning. The noise level is very low. In addition, it is still possible to see on the cell phone where he cleaned. So if you are looking for a reliable robot vacuum cleaner and do not have an apartment over 70m2, you can confidently access it. Simply a great device.
Other great vacuum robots … it’s worth a look.
