The Great Dirt Devil Suction Robot Review
At Amazon, the vacuum robots from Dirt Devil are very popular and the ratings are also good. This is due to the very low price and on the other to the unusual design. Currently there are 4 robots from Dirt Devil on the market, the Spider (M607), the Fusion (M611), the Spider 2.0 (M612) the upgrade from the first model and finally the tracker (M613). In this article we test and compare all models. Here you can find out whether a purchase is worthwhile and how well you can complete the competition in the same price segment. Report on the Dirt Devil Spider M607
The Spider M607 is only suitable for small apartments. In addition, the apartment should be only partially winding, as it is only needily equipped with sensors. But you should not expect too much for the price.
carpeted floors
According to the manufacturer, the Spider M607 is also suitable for carpets. We can not confirm that. He found only 20% of our scattered material. That is just too little.
hard floors:
For hard floors, the result was surprisingly good. Of the scattered material about 80% were vacuumed. It took him quite a long time, but that’s basically no matter because the spider should vacuum if no one is present.
Navigation:
The Spider M607 first drives straight ahead until it encounters an obstacle. Then he switches to edge mode. When the edges have been moved, it switches to spiral mode. The spirals are getting bigger. This behavior is repeated until the battery is empty. Shortly before the battery is empty, the vacuum robot begins to beep, so that it is found again. So he does not go back to a certain point like most suction robots do.
Conclusion:
The Spider can not compete with major manufacturers like iRobot or Ecovacs. But he does not have to for this price. He is a little help in the household. Equipment such as a docking station, mobile app or other is not available.

Fusion M611 Review:
Fusion M611

Suitable for...
- Only for hard floors
- animal lovers
Not suitable for...
- carpets
- allergic person
- Apartments over 60 m2
- Overcome doorsteps
Technical specifications:
- Running time: 60 min
- Charging time 240 min
- Diameter: 30 cm
- Height: 5.5 cm
- Weight: 1.8 kg
- Bagless technique: Yes
- Capacity: 0.24 l
Report on the Dirt Devil Fusion M611
The Fusion M611 is the successor to the first Spider. He looks different and has become 1cm smaller. Find out what’s new in this report.
carpeted floors
Also, this vacuum robot is absolutely not suitable for carpets. So if carpets are predominant in your apartment, don`t buy this device.
hard floors:
For hard floors he makes a better figure like the Spider. Almost everything we have scattered, he has vacuumed. Animal hair or larger crumbs are no problem for the Fusion M611.
Navigation:
Basically, the navigation is the same as its predecessor the Spider M607 but a new mode has been added. The Fusion M611 by Dirt Devil still has a web mode. This is a lot more effective than the Spider. But the best news is that the robotic vacuum cleaner will find its way back to the docking station on its own if the battery runs out. A successful update.
Conclusion:
This vacuum cleaner is almost equivalent to a cheaper Ecovacs. We were surprised how well the Fusion M611 cleans. You really get a lot for this price. As long as no carpets are present or there are no floor strips between the rooms, they can buy the vacuum cleaner with a good conscience. Before buying the first Spider, we prefer to buy the Dirt Devil Fusion M611.

- Deebot Slim 2

Spider 2.0 Review:
Spider 2

Suitable for...
- Only for hard floors
- animal lovers
- short pile carpets
Not suitable for...
- medium-pile carpets
- allergic person
- Apartments over 60 m2
- Overcome doorsteps
Technical specifications:
- Running time: 90 min
- Charging time 240 min
- Diameter: 28 cm
- Height: 6.7 cm
- Weight: 1.5 kg
- Bagless technique: Yes
- Capacity: 0.27 l
Report on the Dirt Devil Spider M612
The Spider 2.0 by Dirt Devil is the successor of the bestseller on Amazon the first Spider. The vacuum robot comes in a new design. The dimensions are similar. What is new, we will tell you in the following.
carpeted floors
This vacuum robot is the first by Dirt Devil that is suitable for carpets. For short-pile carpets, he achieves good results throughout. 70% were cleaned on the first pass. This is a very good result for a vacuum robot in this price range.
hard floors:
In all types of hard floors, the vacuum cleaner is very effective. The suction power has been increased compared to the first spider and is now comparable to that of the Fusion M611 from Dirt Devil.
Navigation:
The navigation has turned out to be nothing new. This is like the predecessor of the first Spider. Just until he encounters an obstacle, then edge mode for about 3 minutes and finally spiral mode. This until the battery is empty. We think it’s a pity the Spider 2.0 M612 has no docking station where it can go back.
Conclusion:
The Spider 2.0 M612 is only conditionally an upgrade to its predecessor the Spider M607. Only the suction power and the battery performance has been increased. Thus, it is suitable for short-pile carpets. But we think it’s a shame that there is no docking station like the Fusion M611 where the vacuum robot can return. If you do not have carpets, you can save the extra cost in the Spider M607.

Dirt Devil Tracker Review:
Tracker

Suitable for...
- Only for hard floors
- animal lovers
- short pile carpets
Not suitable for...
- medium-pile carpets
- allergic person
- Apartments over 60 m2
- Overcome doorsteps
Technical specifications:
- Running time: 45 min
- Charging time 240 min
- Diameter: 28 cm
- Height: 6.7 cm
- Weight: 1.8 kg
- Bagless technique: Yes
- Capacity: 0.24 l
Report on the Dirt Devil Spider M612
The Tracker M613 by Dirt Devil is the latest device from the manufacturer. What is new and how well he does in our test, he learns in the following.
carpeted floors
For carpets, the Dirt Devil Tracker M613 is as good as the Spider 2.0 M612. Short-pile carpets are well sanitized by the robotic vacuum cleaner. From mittelflorigen carpets, the device is no longer usable.
hard floors:
For hard floors, we noticed no difference to the Spider 2.0. The suction power is good. Animal hair and crumbs are no problem for this vacuum robot.
Navigation:
Also with the navigation there is no difference compared to the Spider 2.0. The same three modes are available which are changed every 3 minutes until the battery is empty. The battery life is very poor on the tracker M613 from Dirt Devil. The vacuum robot only lasts for 45 minutes.
The following vacuum robot you get about the same price:
- Housmile 3071C
Conclusion:
The tracker M613 by Dirt Devil brings no noteworthy innovations. Only the design was changed. Dre vacuum robot is very similar to the Fusion M611. Whether they buy the Spider 2.0 or the tracker does not really matter. I would rather recommend the Spider 2.0 M612, as it has a longer runtime.
All models summarized
In general, no vacuum robot from Dirt Devil can compete with manufacturers such as Ecovacs, iLife or iRobot. But they do not have to, because the robots are the cheapest on the market. The purchase of a Spider of the first generation makes no sense. You should buy a Spider 2.0 or a Tracker M613 right away. But best of all four devices is the Fusioin M611. He cleans the best and also has a docking station where he finds himself alone. This eliminates the annoying search of the vacuum robot when the battery goes empty. If you have many carpets we recommend the Spider 2.0 M612. In the following again an overview of all devices.
You would rather have another cheap robot vacuum … well, no one is so cheap, but the following devices are available under 300 €. Take a look.
